Jitterbug is a film about dance, music and love.
It is set at an extraordinary time when the rules of life and love danced to a different tune. A black American GI and a British Spitfire pilot compete for the love of a young woman in WW2 Cardiff. The Jitterbug music and dance craze lights up the darkness of this war weary city and brings love, passion, betrayal and tragedy to these three lives that fate will forever entwine.
Jitterbug was optioned by Delta Pictures in July 2021
From the Land of Green Ghosts.
I first met Pascal and John Casey, who rescued him from Burma, over twenty years ago. I wanted to make a film of his remarkable story and over the next eighteen months we developed a first draft screenplay. Although there was much interest, for many reasons the film never happened but Pascal and John have stayed in my heart. Earlier this years with my passion to restart the project as strong as ever, I contacted Pascal and John and we resolved to try and raise funding to rewrite and produce the film based on his book From the Land of Green Ghosts and bring our dream to fruition. It feels as though the time is now right.
